Sompo Japan and Nipponkoa have agreed that Sompo Japan and Nipponkoa will merge as Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Inc., on September 1, 2014. In advance of the legal merger, Sompo Japan and Nipponkoa unveiled an integrated management structure on April 1, 2013, under which their respective offi cers and employees will concurrently serve each other’s operations.
