The 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013 Visit and Japan Tour Promotion
at Japanese Car Dealers in Asian Countries

The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (Chairman: Akio Toyoda) is promoting sales of a Japan tour that features a visit to the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013 at the dealerships of eight JAMA member makers (Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd., Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Mazda Motor Corporation, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Suzuki Motor Corporation, Toyota Motor Corporation) in Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore, and Taipei. The promotion is being conducted with the cooperation of the JTB Group and in collaboration with the Visit Japan project 2013 being executed by the Japan Tourism Agency.
Promotion Outline
An in-store sales promotion for a Japan tour that features the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013 will be conducted in Bangkok (354), Jakarta (276), Singapore (13), Taiwan (111) at a total of 754 local dealerships to target Japanese automobile fans that visit the dealerships, with the objective of bringing them to the Show (November 22 – December 1).
Dealership in-store promotion (late August – end of November)
An in-store POP will be posted, flyers will be distributed, and a DVD that introduces the appeal of the Tokyo Motor Show and Japan will be played to initiate visits to the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013 and Japan.
Special Website opened (August 15 – end of March)
In addition to information about the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013 and the appeal of tourism in Japan, a photo contest will be held with the themes of showing off your beloved car, scenery with the car, and personal belongings or food that can be associated with Japan.
Sales of a Japan visit tour (late August – end of November)
A tour that offers perks for the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013 (special viewing tour in four languages, priority for test rides) will be introduced on the special website. Further, a package tour for accommodations in Tokyo that includes tickets to the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013 will be sold via the multiple-language tour booking website “JAPANiCAN.com” that targets foreigners visiting Japan to link directly to Japan travel.
With the initiatives above, we will motivate Japanese automobile maker fans in these four countries to visit Japan and attract them to come see the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013.
