Mazda will join a themed project called "SMART MOBILITY CITY 2013" which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo), a venue for the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show running from Sat, November 23rd. At the Mazda booth, we show " the Mazda Connect Theater 2020". It will be the future vision of our Mazda Connectivity System in the large LED screen with the BOSE sound audio environment. Vehicle Information and Communication System Center (VICS Center) provides traffic information for the car navigation system. VICS Center also processes and edits the traffic information like congestion or regulation which is collected through prefectural police headquarters and road administrators to change into the text information or graphic form or map overlay. ①The VICS Driving Simulator presents virtual reality of VICS mechanism like a driving video game.②The mechanism of VICS is represented by new technology which displays on the clear diorama using the rear-projection technology. It shows the VICS world by 7 driving courses. ③The functions and convenience of current VICS and next generation VICS are introduced by screen image.④Real Time VICS presents traffic information around Tokyo Big Sight.⑤The mechanism of VICS is introduced by a touch-screen.

At TUM CREATE, we are relentlessly focused on breaking new ground to seek next generation innovations to solve challenges faced by electric-powered vehicles and the infrastructure that supports it. We are determined to build a sustainable future that will continue to drive human progress by seeking tomorrow’s answers today. The EVA electric taxi concept was conceptualised as a platform to showcase the innovations and developments at TUM CREATE, where over 100 scientists and engineers from over 20 countries undertake cutting edge research. The electric taxi was developed and built from the ground up in Singapore — a feat in itself because of the country’s small automotive industry. Key features of this e-taxi include a super-fast charging system, individualized overhead air-conditioning, interactive infotainment system and innovative passenger seats. EVA can be charged in 15 minutes and be driven for 200 km with the air-conditioner switched on – based on the driving patterns of Singaporean taxis collected by TUM CREATE.

Nihon University and private companies based in Fukushima have been developing this Personal Mobility Vehicle for older people with limited mobility. In this project a prototype of a small commuter vehicle was designed, developed and built.

EV Division of PROSTAFF which has been familiar with car accessories, became independent as PROZZA CORPORATION in 2013. Selling electric motor scooter named "Miletto" in general merchandising stores, PROZZA has been the leading company in domestic electric motorcycle industries. Recently, we have paid attention to South-East Asian private commuter business. In Tokyo motor show, We display electric motorcycle "Miletto EV100" which can run 100km, E-trike "Pecolo" and battery exchange station respectively. In addition, visitors can test-ride Pecolo and Miletto there.

DENSO will display micro-grid products and technologies. This display will feature products that fit in the “Creating a low-carbon society” theme. These include a stationary DC normal charger, a battery charger that can be controlled along with the HEMS (Home Energy Management System used to help consumers remember to turn off electrical devices, thus conserving energy), and a pico-grid system (low-voltage, DC power feeding system) that enables DC-driven devices to operate stably on electricity obtained from the battery of a small electric vehicle, and thus can be used in the event of a disaster.
