The New Integrated Show Catching Attention

The 40th Tokyo Motor Show 2007 began on Friday, October 26 and ran for 17 days. It was held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba City and a total of 1,425,800 visitors attended the show.

Under the theme, "Catch the News, Touch the Future," this year's concept of a "new integrated show" marked the first format change in ten years to include passenger cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, vehicle bodies and parts, and machinery and tools. 77 World Premiers, as well as the world's most advanced products and technology, were presented at the show. More entertainment was offered this year with audience-participation, hands-on special events, allowing many visitors to experience "the dreams, fun and splendor of the automobile."

14,300 journalists, both foreign and domestic, attended the show, making it the highest press turnout in Tokyo Motor Show history. A variety of media organizations representing newspapers, magazine, TV, and Internet, covered the show, evidence of how much attention Tokyo Motor Show's "new integrated show" is catching as they kick off to a new start.
